#1. WHAT IS DETERMINATION ABOUT-THE MEANING OF DETERMINATION
DEFINITION OF DETERMINATION
Simply put, determination is that driving force that keeps you psychologically strengthened and restless at the same time and empowers you to continue searching and trying things out until you achieve any goals that you’ve set for yourself.
This is the meaning of determination in a sentence.
It is due to the lack of this driving force that many people don’t get to achieve any of their set goals. They seem to be highly motivated in the beginning, but soon abandon the beautiful ambitions that they truly deserve. This is not really their fault, considering the fact the majority of people are completely ignorant of how to remain motivated.
I have thus decided to write this article, to share what I do every single day, which keeps me exceedingly motivated and tireless, and sometimes empowers me to work 18 hours literally, or even when I’m sick, without even taking notice.

2.1Setting Goals And The Importance Of Setting Goals
==> What It Means To Set Goals
This is inevitably the first step to getting things done.
In fact, we all unconsciously apply this very first step very faithfully. This is actually where we set all our beautiful ambitions, talk about them, or even write them down. A perfect example here is setting new year’s resolutions, setting sales targets, or even minimum average to be scored during our semester examinations. All these things are absolutely right to do and MUST BE DONE.

But why is it so important to set goals? Setting a goal is like identifying a new destination you want to reach, WITHOUT KNOWING HOW TO GET THERE.
Maybe you are not comfortable with your current location, or looking for better options or lifestyle, or wanting to increase your finances significantly, (the reasons vary), so you decide to define a new journey/destination. This is done by setting goals. If you don’t know where you want to go, then there would be no need for a new journey.
Remember that when you are setting goals, you have absolutely no idea how to accomplish them. In other words, you don’t know the path to your destination. This is perfectly normal, and should not be your main preoccupation at this stage.

Technology has completely replaced our traditional way of doing key tasks, which still remain very pertinent and relevant today, no matter how technologically advanced we become.
What am I talking about? In order to effectively set goals, do the following MANUALLY:
–> Get a Goals Notebook (I made mine manually, to have the feeling of total control over the process). Make it as beautiful as it can be. Use your creativity and come up with an extraordinary booklet, one that you would always love to read.
–> Write down your goals in your beautiful booklet, in great details in the present tense. Ex. I’m making $24K/mo, etc
–> Keep your notebook private, and very close to you.

So why do many people not succeed in achieving their dreams?
This is actually where the big problem lies:
”the majority of goal setters stop at this first stage and expect their determination to auto-develop and give them the required energy to move them towards achieving their goals. There is still way much to be done after setting beautiful goals.”
Let’s move on to the next step to see what it takes to create and maintain determination.
This is the very first step to start harnessing your determination.
See yourself already in possession of what you have written down, and enjoy the feeling. Always think of it, breathe it, reflect upon it, ponder over it… in fact create a dream world of your own, always find the time to escape there and be with the riches and wealth you so deserve.
Your determination starts seeing the light at this level. Every time you return from your space travel, your determination ”hormones” would have developed and increased consistently. It takes time and reiterated effort to develop and maintain that energy you need to consistently work towards achieving your goals.
Bottom line. The more you escape to your dream planet, the more your determination increases.
2.3Capture Your Goals On The Physical Plane
What do I mean by this? Try to bring the images of what you see in your dream planet, into the physical world. Let me tell you what I did to make you understand better.
I know exactly what I want, so I went to a photo studio and got myself some enlarged pictures of my goals. Beautifully designed and big enough to give me the feeling I could actually dive into the picture.
This is what I mean by capturing your goals on the physical plane – take a piece of your dream world and bring it to life through pictures, so you could actually touch it.
This also contributes significantly to boost your determination levels.
2.4Surround Your Immediate Environment With Your Goals
OK. You got a piece of your dream world on an enlarged picture. Where to place it??? Where you spend all your time or a significant portion of your time.
The most recommended place to paste your picture is in your bedroom, either on the wall directly facing your bed (you get to see it first thing when
you wake up in the morning) or on the ceiling just above your bed. The bedroom is the best place to put up your goals because the latter are very private and should be known only to you.
It doesn’t end there. Take the digital versions and use it as background images for your desktops and mobile phones, so anytime you turn around, you are reminded of YOUR NEW DESTINATION.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES TO YOUR DETERMINATION LEVELS. I’m writing confidently about this because this is working big time. I got not only my determination levels increased, but the confidence to achieve them has increased as well. The effects are just so amazing. There are times when I work for long hours without even realizing that it’s time to eat.
This is exactly what you need to get to your new destination.
By the time you are done with setting your goals, visualizing them consistently, bringing a piece of them to the physical plane using pictures, and making sure that your immediate environment is covered by these goals, you would have started developing insights and ideas on how to plan your journey to your new destination.
Literally speaking, you will start to receive those ideas that will take you to your dream destination. That’s why it’s absolutely important to set goals
because no goals mean no ideas.
Let me use the case of my online business. I personally designed my pictures and had them printed out and pasted on the walls of my bedroom. Then used the digital versions on my laptop and mobile. Every time I take my mobile (and this is pretty often), there are my goals. As soon as I log in to my laptop, I’m welcomed by my goals. I’m constantly connected to a piece of my dream world, and this, in turn, fuels the determination and provides the ideas to get things done.
I started receiving insights on how to make my online business better, how to find content ideas on my blog, and just so much awesome ideas just came rushing through my head. What happens when this happens? Put pen to paper immediately and write down the ideas. Just keep writing as more revelations come because you waste any second, you lose the idea for good.
I’ve got a lot of scrap on my office table because those notes have to be handy. You can never tell when you will receive the next million dollar idea. I also got those notes on my bedside cupboard, for reasons which I will explain later.
Using this method, I developed a writing plan for the next one year for my blog. And even as I write, the ideas just keep flowing in on topics I could write about. This stuff works like magic.
All you have to do now is proceed to arrange those ideas into an actionable plan that suits you.
Now that a path has been shown to you on how to reach your destination, what would you do next?
Walk it. It’s now your turn to play. You see, the ”Universe” has done its part by showing you the way to your dreamland. This is where you start to Work Your Plan. All you have to do now is act on those ideas you have been documenting, just keep doing it until you get there.
You see, it will not be an easy path, not at all, but it will be one that would be bearable. If you have already reached the stage where you start getting awesome ideas on how to make your dream happen, that means your determination level is already sufficient enough to make you stand difficult moments, remain consistent even if you are not seeing any results yet, or even be able to rise up and continue after falling.
Don’t stop until you get to your promised land. And the good news, the more you remain consistent, the more information will be realsed on how to get things done using the best possible way.
2.7Meditate First Thing In The Morning Before Leaving Your Bed.
This is the most powerful thing ever, and I recommend that it should be your very first exercise before your toes meet the floor. Are you wondering what you should meditate about?
You should be in an attitude of gratitude and especially think of all the good things that you currently enjoy. It could be the peaceful night or a roof over your head. This is an opportunity to become aware of the goodness surrounding you, no matter how small, because what you consider to be small, is luxury for someone else.
Next, visit your dream world and remain there for as long as you want. Remember that you don’t have all morning though, especially if you are working class.
You have no idea what meditation does to your health, your overall well being, your future, and most especially your determination. Besides the immediate feeling of peace that you experience during and after the meditation period, there are equally long-term benefits that you will certainly experience, especially if you remain consistent at it for years.
